To see exactly what you've been charged for, open your 'My eBay' page and go to account > summary > view all account activity > fees. You will find a detailed breakdown of your invoice.

It may be free to list items for sale but optional listing upgrades such as a reserve price (4% fee), BIN option, gallery plus or a sub-heading have to be paid for whether or not the item sells.

When an item is sold eBay charges a 10% final value fee on the total price, including p&p. If you have had a buyer who didn't pay you need to open an unpaid item case to get this fee credited back to your account.
