How is it possible to loose the auction?????

Hi guys,

I would like advice to the following, check the screen shoot of the biddings. The auction was suppose to end at 12:26:11, the last bid was done by me(blue undelined letters) at 12:26:10. I was outbidded by a bid at 12:26:01?????How is that possible?????Also, if you noticed, the person that won, did not had another bid, so as to excuse automatic bid and thus win???It's too much if you come to think about it....Any ideas???Thank you very much in advance.

You have overlooked that automatic bids up to a bidder's maximum are not shown.

This bidder placed their bid before you bid against them. Originally their bid will have been recorded as £23.88.

However, this is no longer shown, as eBay's automatic bidding system automatically raised it to £26.23 in response to your maximum of £25.23.

Only the winner knows knows what their maximum bid was. Obviously it was at least £1.00 more than yours, and could have been considerably higher.

The 742 feedback seller placed a higher bid than you, when you placed your bid a few seconds later you were outbid.
