How is it possible to have a rating of less than your combined feedbacks

I have someone bidding on an item whose score is 28 but when looking at their feedback they have 5 in last month, 26 in last 6 months and 34 in last 12 months. Am I missing something here?

the 12 month figure is the total feedback received in the previous 12 months

this is further broken down so you can see how many of those feedbacks were left in the previous 6 or 1 month

if they receive multiple feedback from one person their score only increases by one, no matter how many feedbacks are left

If they have bought multiple items from the same seller their feedback score will only increas by one.

Say they purchased 3 items and the seller left 3 feedbacks for them. It woud count as only one feedback.

I am really not very experienced on eBay but I had assumed that if the total for 12 months was 34 their score would be at least 34. Maybe my logic doesn't work here!!
