How guaranteed is the new delayed ebay payment system.

I can't seem to find much about payments that are made to me under these new ebay rules. I have sold some items today & every buyer has paid straight away (unusual i know).

Previously i'd only post out an item when the buyers payment had cleared into my PayPal account. But now i'm supposed to send the items out once ebay mark them as paid for & trust that ebay will eventually (allegedly 2 business days) clear their processing system & forward the money to my bank.

Are the payments 100% guaranteed by ebay, say if it emerges there is a problem with the buyers payment method, i don't want to be sending expensive items out early if I am not 100% guaranteed my money.

Why did they have to sell PayPal before they had a decent payment system in place!!!

Thanks in advance.

Here is some more information for your for eBay's Managed Payment System.

Ebay did not sell Paypal, they parted company years ago.

If ebay show as paid then you have been paid, I don't knw what you see in your sold items, but when sold I see a Serial Number which represents the number of items I have sold, once paid the number changes to an Ebay number and when clicking on that number you see the address to which you should post.

The address includes an Ebay code, which I always ignore, I don't see why everybody needs to know that a package is an Ebay Purchase.
