How do you escalate a case when there's no option to select?

Ebay sends me messages saying I can close or escalate a case to customer services, but then only gives me the options to send another message to the seller or close the case as resolved. They also say if they don't hear from me in four days, they'll automatically close the case as resolved.

How do I get customer services to do something?

As suggested, I went through the motions of sending another message. There was no option to escalate, and I was left with the following (with still only 2 options)   :-

Please be patient - you should hear back from the seller soon
  • Send a message to the seller
  • Close this request
    If you're satisfied with the seller's reply, or if you received your item, you can close the request
