There is nothing you can do no ebay as motors are not covered

They should be cash on collection and inspection so you do not pay until you know that everything is OK.

Contact Citizens advice and see what they say as if they are a business then you may have some rights under UK law

As regards your car seller, unless its money back guarantee applies - which it doesn't, to car sales - eBay will have no interest in the seller's behaviour.

Not enough people read and understand this disclaimer in the user agreement "eBay does not review users' listings or content. While we may help facilitate the resolution of disputes through various programmes, eBay has no control over, and does not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of, items advertised; the truth or accuracy of users' content, listings or feedback; the ability of sellers to sell items; the ability of buyers to pay for items; or that a buyer or seller will actually complete a transaction or return an item".

All you can do to alert others to your bad experience is to leave feedback. On the subject of feedback, you recently left negative feedback (for a set of brake pads) but with the comment "Fast delivery, item as described, good comms A+++++ great seller"

Surely this was a mistakr? If so, you can ask the seller to send you a feedback revision request.
