How do I stop my entry jumping to ebay.com when I try to list an item for sale on ebay.co.uk

A member of ebay UK for many years, I seem to have been (unknowingly) registered on ebay.com which means, when I try to list an item for sale, I now get sent to ebay.com to enter a US social security number - which of course I don't have - and can't complete listing. How can I stop this?
I have logged-out, re-logged on .co.uk, I've cleared all cache and cookies and I've also tried logging in via a Chrome browser rather than my usual Internet Explorer, but I still get bumped over to the .com site.

Registered on UK site, seller info shows as being USA.
Member since 07-Nov-98 in United States.
Contact ebay CS to change to UK.
