How can I tell if an eBay seller is trying to get me to pay for an item outside ebay

Hi.I've been having some problems with an eBay seller. After waiting over 3 weeks after the expected delivery date I opened a case on an item I bought. I was eventually refunded by eBay. The seller then dispatched the item to me and asked that I either return the item at my own cost or pay direct to his bank account. I requested that he invoice me through eBay so I could pay that way. He said that was not possible. I asked eBay and found out that it is possible. I replied with this info and asked that he do that. I have now received a request to pay direct to his PayPal account. I can't find any evidence that this invoice has come through eBay either.

I'd like to know how I can tell whether the PayPal payment request has come through eBay or not before I make the payment.

it isn't possible for the seller to reinvoice you after a refund, whoever you spoke to is wrong,

if the item arrives and you want to keep it you will have to pay the seller directly,

if you don't want to keep it the seller will have to send you the money for the return postage

If you have been refunded then ask the seller for a pre paid label for the return

No label no return

it is up to them.

you dont have to pay the postaeg

it was not your fault the item was late

You can pay through paypal to the sellers email address if you want to keep the item
