I would really appreciate some help with an issue please. I've sold a pair of lightly worn shoes to a lady. My pictures show soles with no mark on, the shoes were worn in the house only to "break them in." Customer has today received the shoes and sent pictures of what looks like a knife has been pulled across the soul of one shoe. HELP. What do I do? I don't want to be out of pocket, but it's more the principle for me, not the actual money. Her emails are rude even though I've been helpful, I purely asked for more pictures. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
What do I do?
If she opens a case under eBay's money back guarantee, you won't have any choice. EBay's policy where they can't establish that an item was correctly described is to require the seller to refund the buyer, and to send them a prepaid return label if they want the item back. As they never even see the item the outcome it's almost a foregone conclusion that they will find in the buyer's favour.
In all but name buyers can find any reason to return items at the seller's entire expense. This is just the reality of selling on eBay today.
