Bought an item from a seller on 17th Feb that didn't fit my car. Item was advertised wrongly with wrong title and wrong description as not for my car. Opened a return, seller tried arguing it was my fault for not checking the part number in one of the photos yet he was the one who advertised it falsely. Ebay stepped in and sorted for the refund a few days later.
Posted the item out on the 3rd March using ebay's postage label. Week or 2 later guy said it was his "old address" so he had to go to the post office to pick it up. Another week, 2 weeks go by... It's been sat in the post office, back and forth messages of him saying he'll pick it up then never does.
Tracking now shows the item is on it's way back to me as of the 26th March. Ebay have closed the case today and aren't giving me a refund because he hasn't bothered to pick it up from the post office? It won't even let me open a new return for this now and it also won't let me appeal the decision as it just says it's been longer than 30 days since purchasing so I need to just message the seller. I know he's not looking to help me as he didn't want to refund it in the first place. I feel as though he left it there on purpose so he wouldn't have to refund? Can't find any contact email address for ebay and seems as though the phone lines are closed at the moment (just because it's 8pm or indefinitely because of the coronavirus situation?) so I don't really know what to do or how to go about sending this back AGAIN and getting my refund?
Any help is appreciated, thank you.
