Having to use PayPal if I wish to return an item.

when I tried to go through the returns procedure the only way I could get the refund was by agreeing to EBay charging my PayPal account forever instead of my preferred way of paying, I,e. Credit card. I don’t agree with this. I don’t wish to use PayPal. And I don’t wish to stop,using eBay. What should I do?

You either use the sytems that ebay has in place or stop using Ebay, simple as that.

You can use a Credit Card to pay through Paypal, but unless you use an approved payment system at Checkout then you will not have any Ebay Money Back Guarantee, and not using Paypal then no Paypal Guarantee either.
