Yes, all that will happen is that your id will update in any list, for example saved sellers, feedback etc.
If the person has a conviction then 'following' you is a serious matter and I strongly suggest that you give their eBay id to the Police.
I also suggest that for your own safety, you seriously consider setting up a new id and not telling anyone what it is. Yes you will lose the feedback but that is an irrelevance compared to being stalked.
