Hi, I've tried talking to ebay support about this, but didn't get a clear answer. Can anyone help please?
I'm in the UK and listed several BIN items at the weekend on the reduced fees promotion. Some had UK postage options, 1 was listed as collection only as I wasn't sure I had the packaging and wanted to get it listed during the promotion. A buyer in Eire bought 3 items, including the collection-only one. He paid for the two with postage individually (plus the GSP charge) and asked for a postage price on the third. I've found packaging that will accommodate all 3 items together and this would obviously be the cheapest way of him getting it and the easiest for me. ebay support says I can't add a GSP postage option to a sold item, so I presume my only options with that one are to either post it by UPS or something, or to cancel his purchase and relist it with UK postage and suck up the full fee, as I guess the promotion would no longer apply. As for the other two, it'd be nice if I could refund him and then give him a combined invoice for all three. He'd save more on postage than my extra fees, so we'd both be better off and I wouldn't have to go through the misery of international postage. But, I couldn't get ebay to confirm that he'd get the GSP payments back if I refund and issue a new, combined invoice. I asked the question several times, and just got a statement back that they are '3rd party'. Does anyone know what would happen if I refunded (without cancelling the orders) on the two he's paid for? Would I then be able to cancel the collection only one and issue a combined invoice and single parcel postage and have all the money going back where it should be? Is there another way? Thanks in advance of any help.
