I bought an item, realised it wouldn't fit so I returned it (tracked) to the seller. Royal Mail has confirmed that it has been signed for on their end but the seller refuses to refund me saying they never received it. Because I paid for a return label instead of going through Ebay I can't figure out how to get the seller to refund me. Have offered them proof from Royal Mail but they have stopped responding to my emails.
Why didn't you read the Money Back Guarantee FIRST, it is on every listing, top right. You cannot expect ebay to help when you don't use the correct method of making a return.
Was the Seller a Business Seller or a Private Seller as it makes a lot of difference. A Private seller is not obliged to accept Change of Mind Returns. A Business Seller has to accept a return but it has to be done through Ebay and a PROPER return case opened.
If a Business Seller and you are still within time, 30 days, open a return Case now and enter tracking. If seller does not refund then escalate to ebay after 3 days.
Did you request a return from the seller or just returned the item
You have to do it through a return if it just did not fit or a not as described if the item was not the size as advertised
If you paid the return postage then you have to put that onto the case and once the seller has it back if they dont refund you escalate the dispute to ebay to sort out
If you did not do the return request then you have no way of forcing the seller to refund.
If the seller has no refunds on their listings then you can not return
What action did you take?
Proof of postage is no use you have to have the 16 digit code from your receipt or tracking and put it on the case
