Getting a refund from seller

Cannot get in contact with Ebay, just going around in circles with their so called help. I have returned the item to the seller but have not received a refund.  I posted the item back to the seller how he sent it to me 1st class Royal Mail and he has acknowleged receipt.  I did not return it using the lable as this was signed for costing £3-50p when the cost of 1st was £1-29 with a proof of posting as the item was only £9-99 post free.

As it would have been you who paid for the label, I assume that this was a return request and not a money back guarantee case. I also assume that the seller accepts returns. It would help us if you give more information when asking questions.

You were entitled to choose how to return it, but you MUST use a service that provides online tracking proof of delivery. Proof of posting is not accepted. If you sent it by any Royal Mail parcels service your postal receipt will include a long delivery number which is accepted as tracking. You can check the delivery status on RM's track and trace web site.

I've never used eBay's return request system, but I presume there is a box to enter this delivery number, as there is in money back guarantee cases. If the seller accepts returns and you can prove delivery, if they fail to honour the return request it can be treated as a money back guarantee case, see: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/money-back-guarantee.html
