Funds from sale are being held, bank account required on ebay.

As the title says, i have sold an item and requested imm. payment, which normally gos into my paypal acc. Funds are being held because ebay require my bank account details, they tell me its becaue payments are now paid directly into my bank. Is this correct, bit iffy about supplying bank details what with all the scams circulating at the moment.

Sellers can longer accept paypal payments, 

you have to add bank details so ebay pay into it, not instant like paypal, takes a few days,

if you fail to add bank info, you can't sell.

Buyers can still pay via paypal.

So where is the money held at the moment ?

I assume ebay hold them as they can't pay into your bank at the moment.
