Hi there everyone,
yesterday I was still the winning bidder on an item then today I wanted to increase my bid last minute but I was prohibited to do so for some reason.
I thought ebay was supposed to be fair market place.
Why was i able to bid on it the last two days and not today ?
If you look at the bidding list you can see how often I bid on it when I was still allowed to do so.
I expect that it is because you are a NEW BUYER with a restriction on NUMBER and VALUE of bids.
Each bid counts so if you bid several times on one item, EACH bid counts towards your allowance.
So by the time you wanted to place your last bid you were over the total allowed.
I think I have found te item, and you placed a lot of bids, 22 I make it which adds up to well over £1000 in value.
When bidding you should make ONE bid with the maximum you are prepared to pay, that way you may have been within the limited amount Ebay allows a new member.
Ebay does this as until you have a track record of buying and paying they do not know whether if you win you will pay, so it is designed to avoid wasting the sellers time, and having to relist.
These are the UK boards and you are in Philippines, best log into your designated site - https://www.ebay.ph/
