Can someone please help me, someone has created an eBay account in my partners name, using our address and is fraudulently selling goods which are faulty and they are being returned by the buyer to my address. My partner has never used eBay and we have not sold the items and clearly these are victims too as they will not get a refund as the fraudster will say they never got returned. I have rung eBay twice who said they have restricted the account but need confirmation from the police that it is fraudulent, however the police in the UK don’t take reports of fraud and you have to go to Action Fraud, which I have done who told me there is nothing they can do and just gave me a reference for the log.
We are literally at our wits end and just want eBay to cancel the account, so we don’t get anymore parcels sent to us and all you buyers don’t get scammed either!
