Final value fees of 15-18%??

Hi there. Was hoping to get some advice from you all.

I contacted ebay earlier today to explain I have been charged 15-18% final value fees. This is something I've only noticed since Ebay took PayPal out of the equation as I can now see a transaction summary - this may have been happening for a lot longer without my knowledge. Unfortunately, they weren't interested in helping, just repeated that the fee was 10% not including additional services.

I'll include some transaction examples here...

Order total - final value fee (%)

£6 - £1.07 (17.8%)

£10.38 - £1.63 (15.7%)

£8.70 - £1.41 (16.20%)

£7 - £1.20 (17.1%)

The order totals include postage costs - I fully accept I need to pay a fee on the overall value not just the profits made. I never use additional services and always remain within my free listings.

Any advice on where to go from here?

As pixiesen2012 says the fees are 12.8%+30p,it's the 30p transaction fee that makes the difference especially on lower priced items.

unless you want to stop selling through ebay there is nowhere else to go

before you were moved over to managed payments you paid 10% to ebay and 2.9% plus 30p to paypal

you now pay 12.8% plus 30p to ebay and nothing to paypal

so you are paying 0.1% less than you were before
