I recently sold an (auction) item which went for £1.50. There was no postage charge as it was collected. I know it is a low cost item but the fee was 0.49 pence. That's about a third (33%) of the total. Can anyone explain why ? I haven't used all my free listings for the month. Just curious. Thanks

The listing would be free but you pay fees when it sells

!2.8% + 30p so that seems  right

It is not worth selling items so cheaply with postage you may have owed ebay money to sell your item
