I left negative feedback for a bad item, only to see it has been removed after a couple of weeks.

Whats the point of feedback ?????

If it was a bad item, did you open a Not As Described case?

Feedback should be the last thing you do and the FB should reflect how the seller dealt with the case and you got a refund.

If then you still need to leave a negative it is best to say simply " Unsatisfactory Transaction" then there is no reason why ebay would remove.

You may have broken one of ebay's policies on leaving feedback. If you mentioned ebay, a dispute, case or refund it would be grounds for removal. 

Go to Help and Contact and search 'Feedback Policies'.

All I said was " Lame excuses for late delivery, and monitor looked lake it came out of the ark" There is no point in feedback if you cant say that.
