I purchased an SD card over a month ago, which didn't work in my phone. Photo just disappeared off it. I contacted the seller who said its unlikely the card is at fault and that formatting is probably the issue, but that I could return it and he could test it. As it was no use to me, I returned it, I didnt sent it tracked as I has stamps spare, so used them. I have only had one estate fro. Him since when I asked if it had arrived, and he said it hasn't. I've heard nothing since and it's now been 2 wks. Where do I stand in getting my money back?
Where do I stand in getting my money back?
From what you have told us you probably don't, I'm afraid. For a start, it appears already to be past the 30 day time limit to use eBay's money back guarantee.
In any case, both eBay and PayPal (whose buyer protection deadline is much longer, 180 days) would require tracking proof of delivery. The delivery number on your postal receipt would prrovide this, if you handed the letter in to be posted at the PO. But if you just put the stamps on and put it in the postbox you have thrown away your right to a refund.
