EBay removes items immediately when reported as fake by the registered brand owner.
They're less likely to act on allegations by ordinary members. Not everyone knows what they're talking about, and there are so many quarrels between members on eBay that malicious reporting would be a real concern if anyone could have any listing removed.
EBay's mantra is that the seller is entirely responsible for the accuracy of the listing, and the buyer can use eBay's money back guarantee if it isn't as described.
