I received this email for one of my items.
'Hello, What is the very best that you could do for me please with your ...................... I am a qualified nurse on long term sickness and I have to keep a close eye on my outgoings, so I hope you do not mind me asking. Have a restful night, take care, keep safe, warm and cosy.
My kindest regards,
Sharon.'

I would definately class that as a begging letter.
Your items are nice and not what you would call essentials and they seem very reasonably priced
It is up to you and you can ignore or reply and refuse.
Dont feel guilty about it. as that is what they want.
I would put them on my blocked bidders list then go back and scroll down and Stop blocked bidders from contacting me.
Better request than one I recently received where they said they would be happy to take the item off my hands for free.
You will always get some chancers
You have two choices.
Ignore it.
Or, send a reasonable offer as you would for anyone asking no matter the reason. If the item is not open to offers, then politely decline.
