This has really been done to death.  EBay has charged fees on postage for at least 15 years.

I could be said that it is to prevent a seller setting his price at 99p with £10 postage.

Many of us sell as "post free" [not free at all, more "included"] which means that we get charged on the whole price and the buyer is not troubled with any postage queries.

I don't understand what your question.

You've been selling here for years. EBay and PayPal's combined fees were about 15% on the total sale price, including postage. Under managed payments, there's very little difference in the amount charged, now that payments are processed through eBay only.

If you want to ask why eBay charges fees on postage, you're about 10 years too late!
