Ebay UK has charged me for return shipping on an item I never purchased.

Hi All,

Can someone please provide advice or help?  I have been charged (and monies taken) by eBay UK for return shipping for an item that I have never purchased or looked at.  I have tried to resolve this with Paypal but they have immediately closed my case and told me to contact the seller.  There is no seller details, so how can I dispute this payment and get a refund?

Has anyone ever experienced this?

Thanks in advance!

It's hard to understand what's happened here.

EBay doesn't charge buyers for return shipping. They can choose to buy the return postage through eBay, but you say this was for an item that you hadn't even bought.

It isn't clear why you tried to resolve this with Paypal, if it was eBay who charged you.

I think you need to start by getting your facts clear. Check your purchase history in "My eBay". Is it possible that you bought it by mistake? Or that someone with access to your account used it without your knowledge, and also to buy a return label?

If you can't find the answer you will need to contact eBay customer support - this link will take you direct to the options: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/contact_us?id=4814&st=10
