Ebay UK 0345 355 3229 is not reachable by phone code

Hello

I created new Ebay UK account and listed some books.

Next day I received an Email stating .... We regularly review accounts to keep eBay a safe and fair marketplace for our members. As part of our security checks, we sometimes require a seller to contact us so that we can verify their information.

When trying to contact "them" after logging in there appears unknown phone number - country code code or whatever I don't know.

According to local phone comapny or Skype this phone number doesn't seems to be located on Earth.

Please help, as Ebay UK is not reachable or this is a scam?

If you're calling a UK number from Estonia you need to prefix it with 00 44 and remove the 0.

So, 00 44 345 355 3229

I tried already.
But kind woman voice in English announced that number is not reachable.
May it be, that when UK is leaving Europe, UK has already limited connection to Europe?

As I have seen many Uk merchants limiting shipping to Europe since Brexit vote.

0345 numbers are a non geographic local rate number only accessible from the UK

Being based in Estonia you should be registered on the eBay.com site not the UK site...a the UK site is only intended for UK residents

You are first to claim that Ebay UK is for Britons only and only.

I just wonder, when Ebay.com claims it's for residents of US only.

What other 250 millions Europeans are expected to do???

eBay.com is not US only.......it is the International site

There is also eBay.de for Germany
eBay.fr for France
eBay.es for Spain

eBay.ie for Ireland

etc etc

There are lots of regional sites BUT if you do try registering on these you will find the same issues....for example eBay.es will only provide a number you can dial within Spain

I have read Ebay.com and Ebay.de user agreements carefully. There is no specification of members location.
Unfortunately Ebay.co.uk user agreement was not available and I can't comment it.

According this case I used chat option with Ebay UK support and everything was told to be OK.
Despite of this I found an hour later all my 4 listings removed.

You are registerd in Estonia, so need to log out here & in to ebay.com, then click help & contact to find find ebay phone number.

Thanks for your time but I don't understand.
I created an Ebay.co.uk acount not Ebay.com account.
Estonian phone system is already for more then 20 years (after Russian occupation) connected to planet Earth phone network. So what I must to do? Delete my new UK account?

You do not have a new UK account, you have an Estonian account, but you are only logged into the UK site.

Log out of here, and back into your country site, or back into ebay.com to complete your queries.

Sorry but I received this message to my UK account.
I have also created account in Ebay.com and there is no problem.
No alerts, no phone numbers to call etc
Is it a Brexit consequence? Should I leave?

Nothing to do with Brexit !! You may have received the message on another account? But you are answering us on an Estonian registered account, that is why eBay are querying you.

There is no Ebay Estonia to log in.
I have earlier Ebay.com account.Lately I created also Ebay Uk account and then different Email address is required.
Message came to my UK Email.
When I log in to my account there appears phone number to call 0345 355 3229 , any ideas which country?

Looks like Spain +34 but isn't valid number, when I tried to call.

Nor US number.

It is a UK number, but won't work when trying to phone from Estonia.

Uk is Great.
I can sell and pay fees but not to connect when there is any problems.

And now all my 4 listings have been deleted  when I have over 20 000 items to sell...

Why can't you ring ebay from ebay.com website,
we keep telling you to do this & you haven't tried.

When I log in to Ebay.com there is nothing.
