Ebay Seller Fees

Hi , I have just sold an item on ebay for £430 with free delivery. My ad fee which I thought was free was £36.64. I received a payment of £338.02. This means ebay have taken £91.98 which doesn't seem correct to me. Can anyone advise me please. Thank you.

Placing a listing may be free, but actually selling items never is! That said, there is no obvious explanation for your having been charged a £91.98 fee for this item.

Start by getting an itemised breakdown of your invoice here: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/invoice-display.html.

Check this against eBay's fees, see: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/fees-private-sellers?id=4364&st=12&pos=1&q...

If you still think that any fee is incorrect, you can contact eBay - or, if you wish, first let us know what it is, and someone here will be able to give you a second opinion.

Did you add a reserve on that listing?  That would have cost you 4% of your set reserve and it's a non refundable fee.  It's the most expensive way of listing items.  It's an optional listing upgrade.

You are under Managed Payments,  so the total in fees you pay aside from any listing upgrade you choose to add ,  is less than before ,  well   only very slightly less, 0.1%  still less though.
