Ebay,Paypal,GSP issue

Hi

Buyer paid for matching pair of CPUs through the GSP he didn't reliese that there were extra postage costs to this and opened a paypal dispute against me, before I had even seen the sale it was 6.30 am purchase

This is the dispute message from Paypal

We recently notified you that a payment you received was made without the account holder's permission or was the result of a transaction error.

Paypal refunded him the item costs and closed the dispute.

.

Now the buyer is messaging me for his GSP costs  I've tried to cancel the sale but I can't as ebay say that the dispute is still open Paypal say its closed I've checked and it does say closed.

Ebay's Live chat can't help while paypal case is open and paypal say its closed  I've been onto Paypal live chat they said take it up with Ebay as the dispute is closed

Has anyone had the same issue and how do I resolve this?

Thanks

In reply to the comment about a charge back nothing is showing there here is email paypal sent to say closed

We've completed our review of this case and decided in favour of your buyer. The buyer stated that they did not make this purchase.

We refunded £13.00 GBP to them

That was refunded on 22nd December so this is all I need to do and he has to make the claim for the rest through ebay? thats good to know thank you for your help.

The buyer will need to contact ebay directly to get a refund of the GSP postage.

And BTW when the buyer said "he didn't reliese that there were extra postage costs to this" that is untrue as the full postage costs would have shown on the listing.

When  a case is opened you only refund all the original payment.

If paypal paid refunded all the original payment then they can not refund anything else.

You did not get the GSP postage so there is nothing to refund

Ebay gsp policy says

If your buyer asks you for a refund, you’re only expected to refund the cost of the item and what you charged for domestic postage. We’ll take care of refunding the international postage charges. Please handle any return postage costs directly with the buyer, depending on the reason for the return.

The buyer should only be able to open one dispute either on ebay or paypal and not both

Was it a chargeback they opened?

If it was then you need to check on paypal as you may have been charged a fee for a chargeback

That could be about £15

Was there any mention of that?
