Ebay Overcharged me

I recently bought an item for 1.70 euros but Ebay charged my bank 3 euros. I can find no way to contact ebay directly to w#query this ??!!

Didn't you think to mention that you're in France??

If it was an item you bought from a seller in the UK the extra charge was probably due to the addition of VAT or other import charges, exchange rate variations and currency conversion fees. Now that the UK has left the EU, VAT and other taxes are charged on imports, and no doubt the same applies in France to items imported from the UK.If this isn't the reason, we can't advise you about eBay's fees in France and you will need to keep trying to contact customer support in your own country.
