Easy Returns

I have received an email from easyreturns@ebay.co.uk, which I assume is a legitimate email address, regarding an item I have bought being eligible for an ‘Easy Return Pilot’.

Upon going through the process I was presented a return label to:
C2C Returns eBay
Galleon House, Newby road Hazel Grove
Hazel Grove
Stockport
SKP
SK7 5DA

Is this a legitimate pilot or a scam? Am I safe to dispatch my item or not?

It is an eBay scheme and you have the correct address however there have been reports recently of refunds taking much longer than claimed, you can use the existing return to seller system if you are not happy with Easy Returns

I have not seen how this is supposed to work.

It does not make any sense to return to a 3rd party, which seems to not get it back to the original seller so who pays for all this unnecessary postage.

I would suggest avoiding any of these bright ideas, which do not seem to work in anyone's interest.

I am very suspicious of the fact that one of the occupants of that address is Money Magpie.

Well I used it, then thought I'd been scammed as received no information for a couple of weeks, then received an email to state that the faulty phone had been received, then received £54 into Paypal account about 5 days later. Not sure I'd use it again until it's properly on the ebay platform.
