Dispatch delays - Payment Process

Since payments to the seller from PayPal has changed to being from eBay i have had a significant number of sellers saying that it has taken them up to a week to receive payment and therefore they have delayed sending the goods. Whats the benefit of this change nin process?

They are not supposed to wait to receive the payment from ebay into their bank account

The money goes to ebay when the payment is made and ebay tell the seller the item has been paid

and they should post.

As you say many are delaying sending until the money hits there bank account ( its not instant like paypal)

Ebay take fees and it can take a couple of days for ebay to pay the sellers bank and then it depends on the bank.

If you do not receive your item two or three days from the latest estimated day of delivery then open a not received dispute in the resolution centre

If sellers are contacting you then tell them they have to post

May be a good idea for eBay to publish this more clearly as it has been quoted as the reason for delayed sending 20% of the time. A problem I never had before.

If you dont receive your items then open a not received dispute. You can do that one day after the latest estimated day of delivery but should really give it a couple of days more to be fair. Like every other change these things take a while for people to understand them. No excuse. Ebay dont take any notice of what we say but I believe it does say Post Now
