Why is a dishonest buyer allowed to continue Ebay trading? A buyer recently denied receiving goods from me and claimed a refund via Ebay who set up a case and agreed with the buyer. My account was debited by Ebay in settlement without consulting me at all. Within days this buyer was Ebay selling my goods - I had retained full details of the "lost items", clear pictures of 27 Road Tax Discs with full reference numbers, dates and vehicle + reg etc. and 1 of these discs appeared in a large job lot sale of Road Discs - 100% proof was immediately available and I reported the matter to Ebay who immediately refunded my money.
This buyer had lied and cheated and had behaved in a fraudulently dishonest manner - some of the feedback was also suspect which the Ebay investigation would surely have picked up on as it suggested that this dishonest claim was not the 1st and as such I assumed that this buyer would no longer be allowed to trade on Ebay. NOT SO - this Ebay trader is carrying on regardless - I DO NOT understand why
TBH. You were lucky ebay refunded you.
Unless you can prove delivery, you have to refund buyer.
Does sound like ebay are aware of buyer's tactics, but haven't banned him,
hopefully if he keeps doing this they will act.
