You sold, if you don't honour the sale, expect to get bad feedback and being reported to ebay as a Non Performing Seller, and you still pay the 10% Final value Fee..

How can it possibly be an insult, you listed at 99p, if only one person had bid it would have sold for 99p.

Never list at 99p if you want more list at a price you would be happy to sell at. You can't make bidders pay more than you ask, and even if the winning bidder placed a bid of £100 unless someone else bids it will not go any higher than £7.50.

Well, it was a diabolical starting price.  I seriously don't get why people start bidding at 99p and then complain about the finishing price.   You are offering the item at that price.  If it had only got one bid you would have sold for 99p.

If you want more, why on earth don't you start at a sensible price in the first place. This is no ones fault but your own.  YOU set the starting price - no one else - so you DID agree.  It was your listing so entirely your choice. Who else do you think is to blame ?

Unfortunately you "did" agree when you joined eBay and agreed to their conditions to sell to the highest bidder. That's also how auctions work; there is a risk as you have found.

I think most of us have been here where we either got less than we hoped for or messed up on postage or some such ...

The way forward I am afraid is to honour the contract and send the item off smiling through clenched teeth.

Hi

You really must start a listing off at the lowest price that you will be happy to sell it for just in case you only get one bid.

Ebay often recommend a starting price for items.....ignore it as often they are unrealistic.

IF you do not honour the sale then unfortunately you are laying yourself wide open to negative feedback and also possibly a defect on your account which is not good.
