Dealers Ring

Just started buying again on eBay after some years out, still notice the Phantom bidder in operation pushing the bid Up, the opposite of a (dealers ring) at auction keeping the price down, anyone else noticed ? Has eBay noticed, time they were penalised for this practise.

What you're describing is shill bidding, although eBay now makes so little bidding information available that it's often impossible to distinguish shill bidding from perfectly innocent bidding activity.
