Damaged item issue

Hi, I recently bought a washing machine which was damaged on arrival, I informed the seller by email yet had no reply from them. I then opened a return process to which they sent me a return label. Several unanswered emails & 4 days after delivery they picked it up. It has now been three days since they picked it up, I have advised I do not want a replacement but a refund. eBay have stated I need to return the item even though I advised eBay of the pick up & added the photo of the pick up receipt to the claim.

I am out of pocket & have purchased another washing machine from a more reliable source. All the information is available to eBay but it seems that no one is really listening!

how long do I have to wait for a refund from curry's pc world.

I need to add that there has still been no response from the eight or so emails I have sent them.
