DETAILED SELLER RATINGS

SELLER STATES ON LISTINGS AND I QUOTE:

PLEASE NOTE THAT I AIM FOR 5 STARS IN EACH CATEGORY OF FEEDBACK.IF YOU FEEL UNABLE TO LEAVE THIS I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD CONTACT ME BEFORE LEAVING FEEDBACK.

ITEM AS DESCRIBED: Incorrectly described therefore unable to leave 5

COMMUNICATION: NONE so unable to leave 5 unless I instigate communication due to INCORRECTLY DESCRIBED.

DISPATCH TIME: WON ON SATURDAY, post Monday, Received Tuesday 5 STARS

POSTAGE AND PACKAGING: £1.00 PAID, 1st Class £0.63, Envelope £0.02, GREEDY EBAY £0.10 - hmmmmm still leaves £0.25 surplus - OVERCHARGING (1 star out of 5).

Any thoughts as seller has over 20,000 star rating?

MY THOUGHTS: Ebay takes 10% of postage now in order to (AND AGAIN I QUOTE) teach sellers IT IS NOT GOOD PRACTICE TO OVERCHARGE ON POSTAGE, guess this seller has learnt his lesson, only 65% of the postage charge is actually used for POSTAGE AND PACKAGING. WOW every 100 listings, £65 for Postage, £10 for Ebay and £25 for Seller, A REAL CREDIT TO THE EBAY COMMUNITY, SHOULD APPLY FOR A JOB WITH EBAY, WILL FIT RIGHT IN.

VAT is 20% and if a seller wants to charge a handling fee, then in the words of EBAY SUPPORT, IT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE STARTING PRICE OF THE GOODS, as a seller, you are expected to put some time in, if you want to be paid for your time, GO OUT AND GET A REAL JOB. I dont charge for my time, but then again, this is a bit of fun for me, but I refuse to be blatantly ripped off by anyone, including EBAY

THANKS 1902elder, but over 1000's of listings that amount multiplied becomes a lot, but embarrassed to hit on this subject, wether it is £0.25 or over 10,000 listings £2500, it is a point.

I take it this is a diatribe regarding what you perceive as an overcharge of 25p?

You forgot that if seller is a business there will be VAT on the postage, as well as any handling cost which they are entitled to include.
