Counterfeit goods

Probably a daft question, but yesterday I listed a DVD for sale and this morning was advised that the listing was cancelled as the DVD was counterfeit. Thing is, I bought it off eBay! Problem is, it was almost a year ago. I am supposing that after all this time I will just have to suck it up. The seller is no longer on eBay. Just wondering if I would have any redress after so long.
Thanks!

Some years ago eBay faced a court order in France for over 38 million euros in damages for faling to do enough to prevent the sale of counterfeits.

They now have an agreement with the brand rights owners to remove any listing they report as counterfeit, or infringing their rights to use of the brand.

Sometimes genuine items may be reported in error, but don't even think about relisting it. EBay won't hesitate to ban sellers who are repeatedly reported.
