Contacting EBay about an issue that is other

There is no option for my issue so how do I contact eBay about it ?

A seller is breaking ebays policy I’m pretty sure because info he has supplied creates a security risk for the devices he sells.

Ok so at the risk of creating an even higher security risk yes I bought the item and I have no option to report the issue, non of the populated options have anything to do with my issue.

why on earth did you do that? the only option you have when you buy an item is to open an item not as described case to get your money refunded and leave negative feedback to warn others! what is the item and what is the security risk it poses?

I bought the item in the passed tense not the present. Do you work for eBay?

I don’t want to highlight the security risk in a community forum that my username is directly linked to. If I was privately talking to an eBay employee I would. Advertising how it is a security risk is a bad idea.

no, I don't work for ebay, I give up my free time to try and help people, but that becomes difficult when people don't give all the information! I asked if you had purchased the item so that I could give the relevant advice. if there is a problem with an item you have purchased you can open a case to get your money back and leave negative feedback, you can also report the seller to trading standards.

I appreciate what you do and I hope you understand that the nature of this risk is real and all I really want is a way to contact eBay about it because their help system does not cover this issue.

ebay won't be interested, they don't get involved in the actual item apart from refunding, send me a Private message

It could also be a scam, it’s quite possible and because anyone can see the info, plausible deniability is intact. So surely there must be a way to bring a possible scam to ebays attention?

In most cases you do not have to contact ebay as problems with items are sorted out in the resolution centre. It is all automated
