Consumer Rights Act

How does a buyer get ebay support to ensure that a business seller complies with the UK law.

After all ebay has paid a lot of money on an advertising campaign encouraging prospective buyers to buy brand new items. This is unwise advice if ebay doesn't facilitate resolution of buyers being fobbed off by those sellers who find it easy to ignore the law.

If you have a problem with an item then you use the resolution centre at the bottom of the page

If there is a problem with the listing then there is a report link on every listing

ebay does not remove on one persons report

Consumer rights has nothing to do with ebay as they are a platform for sellers and buyers and they do not sell anything

If the item is in the Uk then you contact citizens advice and they may pass the information on to trading standards

They are the people who can take action

If the seller is not in the Uk then there is nothing that can be done
