Constantly ripped off by sellers on ebay

I am so sick of this site atm.  I am constantly having to ask for refunds after not being sent items by sellers.  There is no longer much incentive to buy items from this site when most transactions are seemingly scams and I have to wait before I can get action.  I don't find it fair as a buyer that I pay for an item in good faith and then nothing arrives in the post.  If I contact a seller and ask for tracking details and don't get a response within 48 hours, it should be clear that the seller has ripped me off once again and I should get my money back while ebay resolves this with the seller instead of leaving me high and dry .  Why aren't items posted?  If they are posted then why are they not posted within the time that ebay tells you to post it?

I have completely lost faith in this site now, and can find no way of contacting customer services directly so I can complain about this issue.  I used to love this site, now I am getting to the point that it isn't worth the hassle of buying something.
