I bought something that turned out to be faulty, tried to message the seller, but they'd deleted the item/listing. The return option was there, so I used it, automatic label printed off, sent it in the post. Seller raised a case against me (I don't know why), Ebay found in my favour, so they said I was getting a refund (which I have now received). The item then came back to me in the post because their address was incomplete (on the automatic label). I still can't message the seller about it because it's 'about an item' and the number doesn't work (because it's somehow deleted).
Can anyone explain what's gone on here please? Was the person trying to make sure that people can't return things to them? I have the option to leave feedback, should I warn others? Am I in the wrong? So many questions!
Appologies if this has come up elsewhere, I'm new to this community and didn't know how to phrase the question in a useful/searchable way.

Hi
You won the case because if the tracking shows delivery or ATTEMPTED delivery back to the seller then you will win the case.
This is to stop sellers refusing delivery of the item back so they do not have to refund
Not your fault that the seller has an incorrect address for returns.........thats the sellers problem and responsibility to make sure their details are correct and up to date.
Is the seller still registered on Ebay? If yes then contact them through their profile and ask them if they want the item back and if they say yes.....to give you the full address and also to send you the return postage through Paypal.
If you choose to leave feedback be very careful what you say....you must not mention a refund or any case you had to open through Ebay or Paypal. If you do there is a good chance that the seller can get it removed.
