Commit to buy

Hi there, I committed to buy an item but when I typed in the delivery address a message came up saying the seller will not post to that address. I therefore sent a message straight to the seller asking them to cancel this but they didn’t I now have an email saying because I didn’t pay within 6 days ebay have recorded an unpaid item on my account. I don’t feel this is fair as I couldn’t pay for it because the delivery address I typed in said they would not deliver to. I have messages proving I tried to get the seller to cancel this. What can I do? Thanks

You will have to appeal the Unpaid strike - https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/resolving-issues-sellers/appealing-unpaid-item?id=4357&st=12&pos=... It should tell you on the listing where the seller does not post to. Is the seller not in the UK?

Try this link and scroll right down to the bottom to speak to someone at ebay.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/search-tips/advanced-search?id=4049&st=12&pos=1&query=Advanced%20...

Ask them if they would remove the unpaid strike, asking them to look at the messages and the fact you couldn't pay for the item.

One strike won't hurt your account, but if you got another one within 12 months, thay's when it would hurt.
