Commission ?

Hi, I bought an item on Buy it Now, the seller was local to me so he very kindly let me take the item to try & then refunded my money via PayPal when I returned the item to him as it wasn't suitable.  

This was about 3 weeks ago, he has now contacted me & said I need to pay the commission on the item that ebay or PayPal have charged him (he wasn't clear which). Does this sound right?

You can ignore all requests from the seller for more money, you owe nothing. The seller paid commission on the sale out of his proceeds.

Thanks so much for your reply, exactly what I thought & what friends & ebay advisor have said & he still insists its my responsibility 🤬!  I have no intention of paying & he seems to have backed off now! Thankyou x
