Collection code help

Hi. I have bought an item, but the "clock here for collection code" doesn't work, and I haven't received an email with a 6 figure code either, so the seller can't mark it as collected.  Any ideas?

The seller can simply mark "paid" and "despatched" on the summary.  If the buyer pays cash - in theory at least - no case can be opened

Seller can mark as dispatched!!  

Codes I believe come by text to the buyer, unless both buyer and seller are using the Ebay App.

If you read how collections are supposed to work, his is what ebay say - After you’ve completed your purchase, we’ll send an email with a collection code (a QR code and a 6 digit code) to your Messages. You can either print off your email or show the seller the message on the app when you collect your item. The seller will scan or enter the code on the eBay app to confirm you’ve collected your item.
