Collection Only Cancellation Request

Hi 

Advice needed please...

I Advertised an item (Oven) as collection only, had collection location and put in capitals in description collection only. 

Item sold and a few days later the buyer requested to cancel the order as they didn't want to collect.

I emailed the buyer to reiterate the advert and description said collection only and the location and would encourage then to arrange a courier. 

in this situation do I have to refund? 

I can not seem to get through to EBay or get a specific answer other then 'try and give buyer a good experience'

Go to the left of your item in your purchase history and click on the down arrow, select 'Cancel - problem with buyer's address' which is true as they are too far away to collect, and this will give them an automatic refund.

you can't keep the item and the money,

so if the buyer doesn't collect you need to refund

That was NOT what I was suggesting.

My query was is the buyer responsible for collection regardless, I.e they have to arrange a courier .

Or at their expense I have to arrange a courier. As I thought if the advert says collection they are therefore agreeing to collect and should have done research before committing to buy. It’s odd that EBay are essentially saying bid on what you like but you can drop out if the wind changes. It’s not really fair on the seller to be let down just because the buyer committed without doing research. I certainly do not want someone’s money unfairly.
