Closing and deleting one of my ebay accounts

Hi, I seem to have 2 ebay accounts. I have used one for years with no problem. 

I ordered an item the other day and realised that it was showing it, on another one of my email accounts, which I have never used before??  The item has since been received so no problem there.

If I now delete this 'new' acount, will my original account, that I use all the time stay unaltered, or will I deleat both of my accounts? and should I speak to a person at EBay?

Please advise.
