Just a follow up to my query regarding the above. Thanks to the advice I received on this forum I have resolved one item and received a refund. The other is proving more difficult as eBay have closed the case stating the buyer (me) received the item. Lots of messages to and fro - but the item was received by Argos click and collect which then closed the following day. I am now chasing this up via the eBay click and collect team. I know it will be sorted but I cannot understand why this keeps happening. Having read other stories it appears that Argos click and collect sites closing has been an ongoing issue since the beginning of Covid. Why, therefore, was I provided with the option of click and collect as late as 11th October when the store was due to close on 15th October? Argos actually accepted one item on 14th October and even sent me a collection code. How was I supposed to collect the item when the store closed 24 hours later.?Anyway - I will never purchase via click and collect again (had a problem on my last 3 purchases - one not related to Argos click and collect) but just don't understand why buyers and sellers are left having to chase up this problem when it should never have happened in the first place. If anyone else having a problem with this - don't give up - ask for callback and click and collect team to deal.
Why do you even use C & C. It is unnecessary, you can change te delivery address to whatever you want before paying. Far less aggravation having delivered to a Friend, Neighbour or Relation.
Any service which involves ebay and a partner/s is so prone to things going wrong that I would never use any of these services. Ebay has so many Glitches themselves without involving other Companies.
It is always the same thing, left and right hands do not know what the other is doing.
