Hi
Unusual problem. I ordered 2 items to be delivered via click and collect at the above Argos store. Delivery was due no later than 16th October. I received an update that one item ready for collection with required code. Went to the Argos store on 16th October to find it closed permanently on 15th October. No one on site so I visited the new site 2.5 miles away. New site advised that any item sent to 151 High street store and not collected would be returned to sender. I have received no update on second item.
Contacted sellers and one responded advising parcel delivered on 14th with Royal Mail tracking evidence. I received no collection code for this item.
other seller has not yet responded but I know the item was delivered as I received the collection code.
EBay has sent me another text telling me to collect this parcel form 151 High street by 21st October. The store is closed. I can't collect it.
can you advise how I progress this matter. The sellers have fulfilled their responsibilities.
I don't understand why eBay allowed me to purchase 2 items on 10th and 11th October to be collected from an Argos store which was due to close on 15th October. I also do not understand why Argos High street store continued to accept click and collect items within 24 hours of closing. How is a customer expected to collect their items?
I have tried making contact with eBay to flag this up but I just keep being told to contact the sellers.
Does eBay know that the click and collect Argos store on Lincoln High Street has closed and the new store is at Morrisons on gritting Road Lincoln.
How can I resolve this as the eBay options available do not cover this scenario.
If you open not received cases for these items I would think they will close in the seller's favour, but still do it. Write in the notes that they were click and collect.
Then, on Monday morning call ebay on Help and Contact >> Advanced search >> scroll to the bottom of the page and try to get a Callback from ebay Customer Services.
You need to speak to a Click and Collect specialist to get this sorted out as there is no guarantee the seller will receive the items back, and even if they do it could take weeks.
Click and Collect is fraught with problems.
