Cigarette lighter listing

Can anyone advise me how to overcome the 'hazard warning' when listing a vintage pocket lighter. I have seen others listed so I know this can be done but I can't get beyond the warning so not sure why.

Thanks

Restrictions on hazardous substances can't be avoided by including a "hazard warning". EBay does state that any "specific postage restrictions required by the delivery provider" apply, these must be outlined in the item description, but I'm not sure what that means! I suspect it's more about unstable materials that might be sensitive to heat or moisture etc. I can't see this applying to lighters.

You need to do your own reserch, but as I understand it used cigarette lighters are not banned from sale, but you have to comply with the restrictions on carriage.

We still see used petrol lighers listed for delivery by Royal Mail, which actually prohibits them from posting. This means that they could be seized and destroyed if discovered. Some couriers will accept them, or they can be collected.

New and sealed lighters can be sent by post, but you would have to check the conditions.

I recently came up against this and the warning will not go away, so you cannot procede.

I found out how to continue but it was trial and error and I can't remember what I did. It was possibly by using an Ad. Blocker to delete the warning.

Check ebay's policies and then see what categories the other seller's are listing them in. Isn't the warning something you can get past though?  It just comes up and you ignore it, as long as you are not breaking a policy.
